Niki Pediatrics named after. u.e.

We were in the allergy and dermatology department, let's start with the emergency department!

Reception for hospitalization is from 9-15 hours. We arrived at 9:00 and got into the reception room only at 11:00. Next, the aunty nurse handed out special forms to parents to fill out passport data and did not explain anything about where to enter what and where. We filled it out, we sit further. We go into the room, the child (3 years old) is already very hungry and tired of sitting, the registrar is trying to type all the information about the child on the computer and is doing it very slowly. They filled it out poorly, entered it into the database, put together a history, and sent it for examination by an emergency doctor. Here everything went quite quickly, probably due to the age of the doctor, and I listened and measured the pressure and examined it, and quickly printed out the results of the examination, printed it out and pasted it in.

Next we go up to the allergology department. The madhouse has begun. Instead of sending the child to the ward, they sat in the corridor, waiting first for the head and then for the head nurse. The manager examined and named the attending physician. Let's crawl further. Time 13:00. We are waiting for the head nurse. Our star comes out with 2 more pieces of paper to fill out. Also without explaining how to fill out either on behalf of the child or on behalf of the mother. We go to her, checks, sends her to rewrite with new pieces of paper. By this time, the head is no longer completely fussed and mistakes made in the forms are already in the order of things. Filled-yay! We hoped that we could go to the ward, but here we go! We listened to a lecture for an hour about what is possible in the department and what is not. Fortunately, the child is in the corridor with his father, although both are no longer adequate. From what this lady said, you are only allowed to breathe! Mothers and children are not fed from the age of 3! But what should you ask? The answer to this question is: in the main building there is a dining room which can be accessed through the basement and repair catacombs of the institute. WITHOUT A CHILD! And it’s very good if you come across understanding neighbors who agree to look after your child while you walk for 10 minutes, stand in line in the dining room for about 50 minutes, then wait for a free table for 10 minutes, eat for about 5 minutes, and return 10 minutes back to the department. You can eat there for RUB 200-300. We're done with food. Next, what should be in the room, in the bedside table 2-3 replacement sets of underwear, tights, blouses, for mother 2-3 sets of underwear. You can only use unscented wet wipes, we are in allergology, paper towels are excluded! 2 towels, large and small, for you and your child. toothbrushes, toothpaste and shampoo WITHOUT ODOR - we remember where we are! Deodorants and ear sticks are excluded - comrades, we sit and stink! Entertainment devices such as tablets and laptops are PROHIBITED! A child is allowed 2 washable toys and 1 book. Products for transfer to children can be apple banana cookies, that's enough! Same for parents! If there is something forbidden lying in the nightstand, our star takes it for herself and does not return it! He comes and turns the nightstand inside out almost every day. So let's move on to feeding babies. Mothers are not allowed to finish their children’s meals; an aunty nurse stands in the aisle and closely watches that the parents do not finish their children’s meals, because they feel sorry for them! These were all negatives!

Now, comrades, examination, I would like to mention the wonderful doctor who, on the very first day of admission, ordered tests: blood, urine, feces. Then a heart ultrasound, ECG, abdominal ultrasound, fluorography, gastrointestinal consultation, ENT consultation, physiotherapist consultation, skin tests and almost before discharge a repeat blood test. It is also important that the wonderful nurses (unlike the older one) kindly called mothers and children for procedures and gave out medications! My son was thoroughly examined and I was very pleased. A week before discharge, our doctor unfortunately went on sick leave, but then we found out which doctor we were assigned to replace her, we were even more delighted. The specialist sorted everything out for us and explained what, where, why, and how to use it! The extract was written on 5 sheets with detailed reports of examinations, tests and further maintenance of the child’s health, but a complete moron would not understand what was written in it! If you need sick leave, you are asked on the day of admission. It’s a mistake on the part of our star nurse: she hobbles for a very long time to get sick leaves in some department.

So, let’s summarize and give ratings on a 5-point scale:

Well, of course, for the sake of the children, we are ready to do anything and will endure anything, but we would like a more loyal attitude towards parents and children in the hospital. Thanks for reading this!

Our hospitalization at the Scientific Center for Children's Health (SCCH RAMS), which is simply called the Research Institute of Pediatrics on Lomonosovsky Prospekt (not to be confused with the Research Institute of Pediatrics on Taldomskaya), recently ended. Continuing the tradition, I am writing my review about this establishment so that everyone who is going there can clarify the picture a little. Naturally, our review is subjective, but there is no other way. And we were examined as part of a day hospital, this is when you don’t lie in bed around the clock, but simply go there every day for various specialist appointments, examinations and classes, that is, a bed is not provided.

I hope a little later, on this blog we will also post our impressions about rehabilitation in China, about classes in Montenegro, and about other centers where cerebral palsy is treated. In the sense that now we will travel only for Yegor, and in fact we have already started, because we spent 3 months in Thailand.

Types of hospitals, quota

You can get to the Institute of Pediatrics in Moscow either for a fee or for free. We got in for free under the quota (). As far as I know, no more than two quotas per year are possible. Wait in line from 0 months to six months, depending on your luck. I don’t know the price for a paid stay, they write on the Internet that it’s about 2-3 thousand per day for a 24-hour hospital, but it seems to me that this cost depends on the specific case, because when I called there a year ago and found out about the infectious diseases department, They told me the total amount was 5800 rubles/day.

You can stay at the Scientific Center for Children's Hospital of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences on Lomonosovsky Prospekt in two formats: around the clock, or as a day hospital. The first one is more convenient, especially for people from other cities or those living far from the research institute, but getting there is more difficult. Otherwise, I think the difference is small, maybe I’ll just go to other doctors for appointments...

Infrastructure

In the rehabilitation center building on the ground floor there is a feeding room (there are high chairs there), where the child is given a small set of food, depending on the department to which you are assigned. In Neurology, small children are given 3 purees, kefir, cottage cheese, and juice. Parents can bring something with them; there is a microwave, refrigerator and water cooler. There is also a cafe (always empty), but it is only for employees.

Toilets are available on each floor and are quite decent. Just remember, the doors open inward and it's not obvious. I once stood there waiting for 10 minutes, but it turned out that I simply opened the door in the wrong direction. There is also this life hack: as a rule, the next door, not marked WC, is also a toilet, and since few people know about this, it is free there.

There is not much for children to do on the floor; the range of entertainment is very limited. But, if time allows, then it’s better to go outside and take a walk on the playgrounds, there are two of them. There are also benches in the trees and paths among the lawns.

You can move around inside the rehabilitation center with a stroller. It’s also possible at the CDC, but it’s a little more difficult, because I didn’t see an elevator between the first and second floors.

Visiting procedure

You should move around the buildings in replaceable shoes, but if you forgot, you will be given disposable slippers (shoe covers are not allowed). You can’t take them every time, they save money, so for 3 weeks I wore the ones they gave out the first time.

You come to the rehabilitation building (second floor), there is a day hospital registration. You will come there every day to pick up the technological map. In the first days they will draw up a schedule for you, and perhaps even on the first day someone will already have time to examine you. You will be guided by a resident, as well as an attending physician. It will be suggested to undergo examination and also rehabilitate. It was very difficult for us to combine this, so we mainly examined ourselves. People here are mostly satisfied with the rehabilitation, but the flow is large with all that it entails. There are massages, exercise therapy, physiotherapy, water treatments, classes with specialists (speech therapist, speech pathologist, teacher of the deaf), etc. As a rule, all measures are combined with drug therapy.

You are given 3 weeks (according to the quota) to do everything about everything; in principle, you must have time to complete all the research and analysis. Moreover, the doctor told us that if necessary, they would keep us for another week to finish. Some specialists will see you at a rehabilitation center, some at a CDC. You can move between buildings without going outside.
